24/01/2010 Winter Marathon 2010 goes to brixian crew Fortin-Pilè The brixian crew composed by Pier Luigi Fortin and Laura Pilè won the 22nd edition of the Winter Marathon on their Fiat 600 built in 1957. In 2nd place another brixian crew, the one of Michele Cibaldi and Andrea Costa (Porsche 356 SC Coupé). In 3rd place the same crew that won in 2008, Alessandro Gamberini with Pierluigi Nobili on their 1956 Fiat 1100/103 TV. In 4th and 5th place, respectively, Giovanni Moceri with Massimo "Mimmo" Raimondi and Angelo Accardo with Giacomo Bongiorno (on their Jaguar Mk II built in 1962). Saturday on the frozen lake took place the MotorStorica Trophy, won by Indaco-Lupieri on their Riley Sprite TT built in 1936, and finally the TAG Heuer Barozzi Trophy won by D'Antinone-Perego on a 1967 Porsche 911 S after an exciting challenge with Leonardo Fabbri, at the unfortunate second consecutive final. http://www.wintermarathon.it/2010/classifiche/ASSOLU.HTM

Thanks to the collaboration with Teletutto, the Italian Timekeeper Federation and Racelink you can follow both MotorStorica and TAG Heuer Barozzi trophies on the frozen lake from 13.20 hrs on Saturday 23 January and all race's results. 01/12/2009 Presented the 2010 edition at the Centro Porsche Brescia Saottini On Friday 27 November, at the Centro Porche Brescia Saottini in Desenzano del Garda the 22nd edition of the Winter Marathon has been presented as the most classical opening race of the season. 23/11/2009 Entries are closed to the 22nd edition of Winter Marathon Entries for the 22nd edition of Winter Marathon are now closed. Even in 2010 there will be many crews (around 200) that will partecipate to the race that, like every year, will open officially the calendar of vintage cars events. There will be both some foreign crews and some pre-war sports cars that have confirmed their preference to the important winter event; Porsche models will be special guests with, as usual, a third part of total registered cars. The entry list will be published in December on the website.

27/10/2009 Great success for the Winter Marathon at Padua Expo The third experience as exhibitors at the 26th International Expo of Auto and Moto d'Epoca (held in Padua from 23 to 25 October) was confirmed as positive for Vecars, brixian organizer of events for historic cars. "Our stand on the Winter Marathon", said Roberto Vesco "has attracted many visitors from both the new design and by the Porsche 911 prepared for the race. Some drivers have also taken advantage of the visit in Fair to entry the race, while many others have advanced their intention to join. To stress the importance of our brand we had the pleasure of receiving the visit of eminent personalities as the President of the Senate Justice Commission Senator Filippo Berselli that has confirmed its willingness to participate in the event, and also the Rai journalist Ms. Francesca Grimaldi and Mr. Norberto Ferretti, the President of APT of Madonna id Campiglio Ms. Jalla Detassis and representatives of companies that also this year will join the organization, beginning with Ms. Beatrice Saottini for Centro Porsche Brescia and PR Press Manager of Porsche Italia Mr. Mauro Gentile, to continue with Fred Mello, Pineider, Barozzi, Sari, Barclays, Barbiero, Luxury, Dimmidisì and Ge.Fin; our stand has been also visited from past editions protagonists as Alessandro Gamberini (2008 Winter Marathon winner), "Pippo" Rapisarda (2008 TAG Heuer Barozzi Trophy winner) and Giuliano Canè, last winner.". The 22nd edition of the Winter Marathon, a regularity race for classic cars entered in the international CSAI calendar, will take place from 21 to 24 January 2010 with start and arrival in Madonna di Campiglio. The vintage cars, only those built until 1968, will face a route of approximately 390 km with 11 mountain passes and 36 precision time trials. "The Winter Marathon is not the only event that we organize" Vesco continues "since Saturday 17 April we have the third edition of Franciacorta Historic in the tourist area of Franciacorta, with time trials inside the Circuit of Castrezzato". 25/09/2009 Entries have opened for the 22nd edition of the Winter Marathon Entries are open for the 22nd edition of the Winter Marathon that will take place in Madonna di Campiglio from 21 to 24 January 2010 and taht is reserved for cars built until 1968 both front and rear wheel drive. Entries must be improved through this website's on-line form and then sent to the Organizing Committee, accompanied by a copy of the car's identity fiche and by the entry fee. Through the form you can also choose about the crew's arrival on Thursday and add to share one or more person other than the crew. Entries close Sunday 22 November 2009.
