10/06/2013 Salviato's 3Tre Challenge Aliverti and Margiotta-Perno complete the podium Ezio Salviato win the first edition of the 3Tre Challenge: the driver from Varese (who also won the 2012 edition of the Winter Marathon), have reached the victory thanks to the excellent results achieved in the three events that were part of the challenge organized by Vecars, Adige Sport and Scuderia Dolomiti with the cooperation of Madonna di Campiglio Tourist Office. After the 4th place obtained in January at the Winter Marathon (on a 1939 Lancia Aprilia), Salviato continued the challange with another 4th place at the Coppa Città della Pace, finishing with the victory of last week-end's Mendola-Mendel History (both this two events on 1982 Autobianchi A112). Second and third place respectively for Alberto Aliverti - that in an excellent position in the Challenge was forced to retire due to mechanical problems in the last race to its pre-war car - and the crew Margiotta-Perno, that were not enough to win the Winter Marathon and the Coppa Città della Pace. The regulation provided for in fact a bonus of 15 points for those who would have participated in all 3 events of the challenge: the rule has smiled at Salviato - co-drived by his daughter Francesca in the first two races and his wife Mary Catherine at Mendola - could enroll his name in 3Tre Challenge's roll of honour. 26/01/2013 Margiotta wins the 25th edition. Success also in the TAG Heuer Barozzi trophy Antonino Margiotta, co-drived by Bruno Perno on their Morris Mini Cooper S built in 1965, wins the 25th edition and succeed in the Roll of Honour at Ezio Salviato. Second place for the 1940 Lancia Aprilia of Aliverti-Maffi (F.M. Franciacorta Motori) and third place for another Lancia Aprilia, the one of Giuliano Canè and his wife Lucia Galliani racing for Loro Piana Classic. 4th place for 2012 winners Ezio and Francesca Salviato (1939 Lancia Aprilia) and 5th place for another FM crew: Franco Spagnoli and Giuseppe Parisi on a 1932 Fiat 508 S Balilla Sport. 36 over 40 were the precision time trials validated for the final classification. All streets have been cleaned and over higest passes (Pordoi, Gardena and Valparola) there were -15° degrees with snow only on sides. Success for the renewed dinner break at the Hotel Lupo Bianco on ther street for the Pordoi pass. 1st classified women crew the one of Emanuela Cinelli and Elena Scaramuzzi (Fiat 1500 Coupé, 1961), classified in 35th general position. 1st foreign crew Lange-Lange on their Invicta S-Type built in 1936; 7th place for the most dated car of this edition: the 1925 Bentley 3 Litre of Patron-Casale, for a total of 123 classifed crews. The event proceeded in the afternoon with MotorStorica trophy (won by Gennaro-Giacomello on a 1938 Jaguar SS100) and TAG Heuer Barozzi trophy (bis for Margiotta-Perno who beat Belometti-Cordioli in the final; third Fontanella-Malta) which were followed live in streaming by Nibla.tv on www.wintermarathon.it and on the official Facebook page. All race moments on tablet smartphone and pc In occasion of its 25th edition the Winter Marathon has given fans a special surprise: the event will be broadcasted for the first time live - without delay, without registration, without a long time of broadcast - and focus on key moments of the event from the start - with the characteristic precision time trial in Piazza Righi - continuing with the transit on the most characteristic mountain passes until the night arrival in the center of Madonna di Campiglio: live also the two trophies on the frozen lake on Saturday afternoon and the final prize-giving at PalaCampiglio on Saturday night. 05/01/2013 Online the entry list, here are the details of the 160 crews at the start Is available online by this afternoon the ENTRY LIST of the 25th edition. Among the 160 crews there will be 21 Top Driver and, with no. 1 at the start, the crew Patron-Casale who will drive the most dated car in absolute (Bentley 3 Litre, 1925) in their first experience in this difficult winter competition scheduled from 24 to 27 January in Madonna di Campiglio. There will be an intense sports battle between the three Fiat 508 S of Spagnoli-Parisi, Belometti-Cordioli and Aliverti-Maffi and the three Lancia Aprilia of Lorenzo and Mario Turelli, than those of Canè-Galliani (winners in 2009 and 2011) and Ezio and Francesca Salviato, winners of last year and the crew to beat. Among the other teams who will fight for the title there will be the crew Fontana-Adorni (Fiat 1100/103 E TV, 1957) that several times came close to success in recent years, as well as the duo of Alessandro Gamberini (winner in 2008) and Leonardo Fabbri on their Alfa Romeo Giulietta TI 1962, official tema of the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum in Arese as well as the crew Salvinelli-Valentini (Alfa Romeo Giulia TI Super, 1964), respectively in 2nd and 3rd place overall in 2012. 17/11/2012 Presented the 2013 edition at the Centro Porsche Brescia in Desenzano Desenzano del Garda (Bs). In the beautiful location of Saottini Porsche Brescia Center the 25th edition of the Winter Marathon have been presented to competitors, authorities and sponsors. There were about 150 passionates who joined the eveningto listen all event news showed by relators, starting from the born of the '3Tre Challenge' which will include 3 among the most famous historic cars race in Trentino (Winter Marathon, Coppa Città della Pace and Mendola-Mendel History). General Manager of Saottini Group Mr. Biagio Capolupo, Marco Masè president of APT Madonna di Campiglio, Mr. Maurizio Emer representing CSAI sports authorities of Trentino, the organizer of Coppa Città della Pace Luca Manera, the famous sports journalist Ezio Zermiani supported by Roberto Vesco president of the Organizing Committee of the Winter Marathon. Over 60.000 visitors at 'Auto e Moto d'Epoca' Despite the cold and rain that marked the last day of Auto and Moto d'Epoca 2012, over 60.000 visitors stormed the 29th edition of the main european exhibition of historic motorsport which ended in Padova yesterday, Sunday 28 October 2012. Great success for the Winter Marathon's thematic stand that, inside hall 15, has received a lot of fans and many drivers who have never attended the event and have requested more information about the race. Among visitors also Walter Röhrl, one of the best rally driver in history and two times World Champion. The "King of Montecarlo" has expressed his admiration for the work done by the organizers of the race. Next step will be the official presentation held on Friday 16 November at the Saottini Porsche Brescia Centre in Desenzano del Garda (BS). 25/10/2012 Here is the 2013 'Winter'! 450 km, 12 hour, 11 passes, 40 trials and 2 circuits During the preview day of the 29th Auto and Moto d'Epoca Expo in Padova the main new aspects of the 25th Winter Marathon were revealed; the classic regularity event for historic cars included among the 'Great Events' in the CSAI calendar will take place from 24 to 27 January 2013 in Madonna di Campiglio. The Organizing Committee, counting on the presence of an average number of 190 crews taking part in each event in the last five years, has not spared the novelties. First of all a longer and more demanding route than the previous year (450 kilometres instead of the 410 of 2012), where the cars will face 11 dolomites passes, four of them over 2.000 meters (Pordoi, Falzarego, Valparola and Gardena). In addition to this, 40 precision time trials, all very technical and 'unforeseeable', 8 of them divided between the well-known and appreciated Safety Park driving centre in Vadena (Bz) and the new Snow Ice in Cortina d'Ampezzo, a track completely covered by snow near Cortina, which will offer all competitors 2 kilometers of pure fun with curves, reverse curves and skids. Another important change is the new location for the dinner of Friday: the crews will enjoy some local specialties at the Hotel Lupo Bianco on the road to Pordoi pass, hoping for a massive snowfall that would cover roads and make the driving difficult but at the same time funnier. The arrival at the final time control in Folgarida, scheduled at 2.30 hrs on Saturday 26 January after 12 hours of continuous race, will anticipate the usual final parade in Piazza Righi in Madonna di Campiglio; afterwards, the well-deserved rest until 13.30 hrs on the same Saturday, when the show will start again on the frozen lake in Madonna di Campiglio with traditionals MotorStorica and TAG Heuer Barozzi trophies. 03/09/2012 Entries have opened for the 25th edition of the Winter Marathon Entries are open for the 25th edition of the Winter Marathon that will take place in Madonna di Campiglio from 24 to 27 January 2013 and taht is reserved for cars built until 1968 both front and rear wheel drive. Entries must be improved through this website's online form and then sent to the Organizing Committee, accompanied by a copy of the car's identity fiche (HTP/HRCP FIA or FIVA) and by the entry fee. Through the form you can also choose about the crew's arrival on Thursday and add to share one or more person other than the crew. Entries close Sunday 25 November 2012.
