With the sporting season approaching its final phase it is already time to look to next year, when the regularity sector for classic cars will restart from the 34th Winter Marathon, the number 15 organized by Vecars, scheduled from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 January 2022 in Madonna di Campiglio.
After two difficult years due to the Covid-19 emergency and with the worst that now seems to be behind us we don't have to let our guard down; for this reason the Organizing Committee is already working to ensure that the event fully complies with all the requirements set out in the new ACI Sport General Protocol (available in the Noticeboard section).
Many are the news starting from the renewed race route of 500 km with 65 precision time trials and 6 average tests, scheduled again on 2 legs: the first one on Thursday 20 by night at the end of the administrative checks, the second one on Friday 21 through the most famous streets and passes of Trentino-Alto Adige with Dolomites as background. The show will continue on Saturday 22 on the frozen lake with the dispute of the knockout trophies.
As always the protagonists will be cars built until 1968 both front and rear wheel drive with also a selection of collectible and special interest cars produced before 1976. Madonna di Campiglio will obviously frame the event, hosting once again all the highlights starting from the administrative checks and scrutineering, the start and arrival of both legs, the special trophies on the frozen lake scheduled on Saturday afernoon and the prize-giving ceremony.
