HISTORY
Winter Marathon
Founded in 1989 with the aim of combining the timeless appeal of the cars that made automotive history with the breathtaking beauty of the alpine landscape, the Winter Marathon has grown into a classic and exclusive event.
An unmissable event for historic car enthusiasts and collectors who, on the traditional final weekend of January, come together to share a new adventure across more than 500 kilometres of dolomite roads and mountain passes.
Included among the Superclassiche in the ACI Sport calendar, the event stands out for its highly technical and engaging sporting character, attracting some of the most renowned top drivers each year, alongside well-known figures from the international motoring scene.
Since the very first edition, Madonna di Campiglio has been the official home of the event: a prestigious setting that perfectly combines the elegance of classic cars with the unique charm of snow-covered mountains.
All the key stages of the event take place here: welcoming the participants, administrative checks and scrutineering, the start and arrival of both legs, Saturday’s special stage, followed by the farewell dinner and prize-giving ceremony for the crews.
Our mission
The Winter Marathon was created with the aim of promoting and celebrating historic motoring culture through a truly unique event. Against a backdrop of breathtaking landscapes, snow-covered dolomite passes and regularity trials, we aim to offer participants an authentic experience that combines sport, tradition and a spirit of adventure.
We support the preservation and continued use of classic cars as part of our technical and cultural heritage, making them the protagonists of an event rooted in passion and timeless elegance.
Our mission is to create an unmissable event every year, where enthusiasm, organisational excellence and respect for history come together to create an event of unrivalled appeal.
