Winter Marathon 2026 – 38th edition

The Brescia-based father-and-son crew, representing Scuderia Brescia Corse, finally claimed their long-awaited first victory in the event, winning aboard the 1937 Lancia Aprilia that started from Madonna di Campiglio on Thursday with number 1 on its sides.

Second place was decided by a photo finish and went to their teammates Andrea Belometti and Cristian Ricca, who produced a remarkable comeback in the closing stages aboard their 1937 Fiat 508 C. The first two crews finished the race with the same number of penalties, but victory went to the Turelli crew thanks to the tiebreaker of the better performance achieved on the first timed trial.

Completing the podium were Alberto Aliverti and Yuri Merlo (Fiat 508 C, 1937) , who were unable to repeat their success from the 2025 edition, despite delivering a convincing performance that earned them the Persol Trophy for the best overall performance in the timed trials held on the Passo Tonale Ice Track.

The race, which concluded on Friday night with the arrival of the cars in the centre of Madonna di Campiglio, ran smoothly without any major issues. Only a few retirements due to mechanical problems prevented some crews from reaching the finish line. Thanks to the valuable work of the race officials, timekeepers and the entire organisational staff deployed along the route, the event was able to reach its regular conclusion – with the necessary cancellation of some timed sections – despite the unexpected refusal received from the Autonomous Province of Bolzano just a few hours before the start.

In the special classifications, Bellini-Bordogna (Porsche 911, 1974) took victory among the Under 30 crews, while the women’s classification was won by Emanuela Cinelli and Luisa Ciatti in a 1969 Innocenti Mini Cooper Mk II.

Among the foreign crews, victory went to the Swiss brothers Ferruccio and Carlo Nessi in a 1965 Morris Mini Cooper S Mk I, while Celestino and Oreste Sangiovanni of Scuderia Franciacorta Motori topped the Average Speed Trials classification in their 1959 Porsche 356 A Coupé.

Gianluigi and Federico Smussi (Panda 4×4, 1989) were awarded the BPER Trophy for the best Youngtimer car (cars built from 1977 to 1992).

In the special classification reserved for Teams, victory went to Brescia Corse, thanks to the results achieved by Turelli, Belometti and Bellini-Tiberti, ahead of Franciacorta Motori.

The action resumed on Saturday morning with the Sparco Trophy, a new format that allowed all participants to compete in a single timed trial measured to the thousandth of a second in Piazza Righi, broadcast live on social media channels, where Sala-Cioffi in a 1937 Lancia Aprilia came out on top. With a margin of just 3 thousandths from the target time, they finished ahead of the 1936 Fiat 1500 of Busi-Bicelli (10 thousandths) and the 1973 Fiat X/19 of Tondelli-Fichera (11 thousandths).
